“Have you struggled with developing prayer in your daily life? Don’t know what to say or what to pray about? Are you worried that your prayers don’t sound spiritual enough? Well, mark your calendar’s for Saturday, Nov. 13th, as we will seek to answer and dispel many of these questions.

PPC will be hosting a training and application of Prayer Revolution with the ministry of Prayer Current. You will learn the biblical, spiritual, and practical components of Kingdom-oriented prayer and how this communion with God has been at the core of every spiritual renewal or revival in human history. (Both personally & corporately) This event will focus on both the theory & application of prayer throughout the seminar. (You will actually pray!!!) And better yet, you will walk away with a plan and group of people with whom you can grow in this area together. Register and pay here.

MISSIONS MEETING | 11.14 | 9:15 AM

At Ponce Presbyterian, one of our great joys is partnering with missionaries and ministries both locally and abroad. We also long to grow in the ways we pray for them, support them, and connect our church body to the works God is doing around the world. If you are interested in learning more about the ways you can serve along these lines, we would love to have you join an informational meeting on November 14 @ 9:15am before our worship service. We will have donuts, coffee and discussion about where we are currently as a mission team, and some ways we are hoping to move forward. We would love to have you join us!

SERMON TEXT | Luke 19:41-48 (ESV)

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, 42 saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side 44 and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

45 And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.”

47 And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people were seeking to destroy him, 48 but they did not find anything they could do, for all the people were hanging on his words.

Verse 1

There's a table that You've prepared for me

And I believe You've overcome

And I will lift my song of praise

For all You've done

Chorus 1

This is how I fight my battles (3X)

(This is how)

This is how I fight my battles (3X)

(This is how)

Verse 2

In the valley I know that You're with me

And surely Your goodness and Your mercy follow me

So my weapons are praise and thanksgiving

This is how I fight my battles

(Bridge)

It may look like I'm surrounded

But I'm surrounded by You

It may look like I'm surrounded

But I'm surrounded by You

(Bridge)

My victory's in Jesus' name

COMMUNION

“Beauty Of Your Grace”

Verse 1

Why should I lift my hands in praise

If my life does not reflect it.

And when I wrestle with my faith,

Why should I act like it’s perfected?

Chorus

Ooooh, Nothing that I have

Is good enough to offer You today

When I’m feeling this way

But Yoooou meet me where I am

Here between Your mercy and my shame,

and that’s exactly why You came.

It’s the beauty of Your grace.

Verse 2

What’s this smile upon my face

If inside my heart is aching

Should I hide this pain I feel

Or treat the wounds I’ve been forsaking?

Chorus

Bridge

That makes me worthy

Of the things I don't deserve

and offers freely

Of this love I couldn’t earn

and though I’ve faltered

You’ve regarded every plea

and though I’ve fallen

I can’t fall beyond your reach.

Chorus
