GREETINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

PASTORAL PRAYER

Confession of Sin

God, confessing my sins to You gives me the opportunity to be forgiven by You. I confess my sins to You now. But I also want to confess that I don’t always take the separation sin produces seriously. Because You have provided the way for me to be forgiven, I sometimes get into the habit of expecting Your forgiveness and taking it for granted. I confess this to You today, and I ask that You make my heart sensitive to the reality of what Your gift of eternal life really means. Give me a greater glimpse into the very heart of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made so I could be forgiven and brought near to You.

Assurance of Pardon

Titus 3:4–7 (ESV): But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

SERMON TEXT | Romans 12:1-2 ESV

A Living Sacrifice

12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

SERMON

Title: “Aligned to the Heart of A Good King, Part 1: A Response To Mercy"

“Agnus Dei / King of Kings”

CONFESSION OF FAITH

Confession: Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace. The Agnus Dei

Assurance: Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
